New in TestFlight: OmniFocus 4.4

OmniFocus 4.4 experimental TestFlight builds introduce support for new functionality and improve OS compatibility on devices running beta versions of macOS 15 Sequoia, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2.

All Platforms

  • App Intents — New Quick Entry, Quick Open, and customizable Open Perspective App Intents provide direct OmniFocus integration with the following OS features:
    • Control Center — Customize Control Center with resizable new Quick Entry, Quick Open and Open Perspective controls on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
    • Lock Screen — Replace the controls at the bottom of the Lock Screen for new Quick Entry, Quick Open and Open Perspective controls to quickly access your most frequently used OmniFocus features on iOS 18.
    • Action Button — Customize the Action Button to launch Quick Entry, Quick Open, or a perspective on iOS 18 (requires iPhone with Action Button).
    • Shortcuts — New Quick Entry, Quick Open, and Open Perspective shortcuts join the new Set/Remove Favorite Perspective App Intents-backed shortcut introduced in OmniFocus 4.3. (visionOS shortcut support to be included in a forthcoming OmniFocus 4.4 TestFlight build).
    • Spotlight — Quick Entry, Quick Open, and Open Perspective shortcuts are now included in Spotlight search results on supported OSes.
  • OS Compatibility — OmniFocus 4 has been updated for compatibility with macOS 14 Sequoia, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. (Compatibility bug fix work remains in-progress.)

iPhone & iPad

  • Home Screen — App Icon and widgets have been optimized for light, dark, and tinted display on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 Home Screens.

Apple Watch

  • Gestures — Double tap now activates Quick Entry or completes the displayed item on watchOS 11 (double tap gesture requires supported Apple Watch).
  • Widgets & Complications — New widget on watchOS 11 displays Inbox, Forecast, and Flagged item counts in Smart Stack and on supported watch faces.
  • Widgets & Complications — Item completion is now supported in new interactive widgets on watchOS 11 in Smart Stack and on supported watch faces.
  • Widgets & Complications — Additional watchOS complication options now highlight key elements using the watch face’s accent color.
  • Siri — Siri capture has been updated for parity with functionality available in iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS, allowing for assignment of project and tags on capture.
