No OF shortcut actions in macOS

For whatever reason, I have zero shortcut actions for OF in macOS. This means that shortcuts I’ve made on iOS won’t work because it doesn’t recognize the actions. FWIW, I’m using the app downloaded from the omni website, not the App Store. Perhaps that’s an issue?

This happens when Shortcuts hasn’t noticed that OmniFocus is installed. Is OmniFocus in the system’s Applications folder? If not, does it help to move it there?

Thank you. It was in applications folder. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and now the shortcuts are there. Thank you.

My shortcut actions in MacOS are gone again. It seems like this must have happened with a recent update. The app is in the applications folder. I’m running 4.8.3

This is definitely a bug. The actions were restored when I restarted my Mac. I’ll report this via the app as a bug.

Agreed, this is definitely a bug! But, to be clear, it’s a bug in the Shortcuts app, so it needs to be reported to Apple so they can address it.

I’ve also been having this issue for the past ~6 months or so. No OF shortcuts on Mac. Everything is up to date.

Restarting mac usually fixes the issue, but only for some hours.

I found something that seems to have fixed it without needing a reboot. From this link Security Verification

To fix it, I went into the Language & Region settings, and:

  1. Quit Shortcuts app.

  2. Add another language, (my preferred language is English - US, so I added English - Canada), accept the change, then immediately change it back to English - US and remove English - Canada.

  3. Next, toggle the region from United States to something else, then immediately change it back to United States.

  4. Re-boot

I noticed my language settings showed 3 different versions of english, which I never added. We’ll see if it holds.

Problem returned. Additional “English”es showed up in my mac settings. Gemini told me icloud syncs languages between devices, so I went to all settings on iphone/ipad, including keyboard settings, and made sure all say “English (US)” now. Will see if it sticks.
