OmniFocus still lacks the ability (so far as I’m aware) to notify based on location when connected to CarPlay.
I would love for it to have the option like some apps do in the notification settings on the phone. See screenshot below from another app. Having a location based trigger notify me when I am in the vicinity would be a game changer!
I would concentrate on driving while driving and not read any news. I see more and more drivers who, instead of concentrating on the traffic, are looking at their smartphones, tapping away at their car screens and causing more and more accidents.
That ship has sailed. e.g. Messages and What’s App will happily read things out to you. I agree it would be good if OmniFocus could, too.
For example, approaching the hardware store would be a good time to remind me of what I went there for.

Hardware store is exactly what I’m referring to!
And @Monika I have no intention of being on my phone or device while I’m driving. I actually use the announce messages feature so it just speaks through my vehicle speakers so I don’t have to look at anything. Just like with messages being read out loud, if an OmniFocus alert that said you’re near Home Depot and you have something that you need to get there could trigger me to stop there all while being hands-free and not being distracted.

This is where the design of the putative widget needs care. For me it will be a trade off as to when I install an iOS 26 public beta: I need my banking app to work but I would want to help test OmniFocus.
