Omnilink created on Mac not yet working on iPad

I’ve copied an OmniLink on one outline on my Mac, and pasted it into a second outline on my Mac. The link works fine. Both outlines are synced via OmniSync onto my iPad.

When I open the second outline on my iPad and click on the link, instead of opening the first outline, I get this message:

“The app has been asked to locate the document “Test.outline” in the Connected Folder with the ID “Desktop 3214”. However, no folder with that ID has been connected yet. Please choose the location of this folder on your device.”

How do I find where the folder named Desktop 3214 is? Or do I need to create it?

Hey Rob, have only just upgraded myself so bear this in mind, I think what you could do is create a folder where you want to keep your outlines e.g., icloud>documents> outlines. I see that Omni now recommend you use iCloud rather than Omnisync so you might consider this with your syncing preference. Then connect this folder via Omnioutliner>Connected folders, maker sure omnilink is toggled on but that should be the default for a new folder. Then move your outlines into that and all omnilinks should work. Any folder you want indexed and searchable for the purposes of omnilinking do the same.

Got it. Thanks.
