I love having Rich Link Previews in various apps, which will replace a long URL with a small image or icon. Since I’m aways placing links (URLs, Hookmarks, DevonThink links, etc.) in my OmniFocus outline, I wish there were a way to clean up all the long URLs and replace them with Rich Link Previews.
Is there a way?
That would go nicely with a single tap or long press to follow the link. However, most of my URLs are to eg open a Drafts document. I think that would be difficult to preview.
THere are plug-ins for easily converting between Markdown and Rich Text Links (Link Objects). Would that help? You could use Emoji as the link object. [VIDEO]
Thanks for the quick reply, Sal. Not sure if this method is much different than simply right-clicking on the link, selecting “Edit Link” and typing a shorter name. What I was hoping for is something automatically generates a Rich Link Preview much as Apple Mail or Calendar does when I paste in a URL link.
