Row Filter shows me row and parents, but not children

In my never-ending attempts to replace 1997’s Ecco Pro with 2018’s OmniOutliner, I’ve been experimenting with Row Filters (a long-awaited feature). Alas, in OO 5.2 when I apply a Row Filter, it shows me the Row and its parents, but the all-important children of that row are hidden. Argh. Is there no way to allow us the option of displaying both parents AND children that belong to a filtered row?

If not, then the feature is sadly unusable for me.

Sure wish someone from OG would tell us if there is a technical reason they cannot provide this feature.
