How can I start automatic numbering at a number other than 1? For example, I’m outlining a book that has multiple parts. Part 1 has Chapters 1-3, Part 2 has Chapters 4-6. But currently, I can only get Part 2 to show Chapters 1-3. If I could force it to start at “4,” then I could resolve this.

That ability is not currently supported in OmniOutliner but I’ve added your vote to the feature request.
