Setting up new perspective: conditions don't stick

Hey and good day,

This is unclear to me and happened before.

As seen in screenshot, I add a single ‘condition’: the tag “lar” and it is not saved the perspective, UNTIL at last I click to add another tag (left empty) THEN the “lar“ tag did stick.

How is this so difficult/ whimsy?

You need to “save” the tag setting by collapsing the tag field using the arrows on the field, above right

But I did that ,
then went back to EDIT and the field was empty.
Also ENTER doesn’t do it,

Hallo Omni team! am I really the only one complaining?

I could do a video about it.

I was about to say the same as @RJN

Try clicking into the second field under lar (only to ensure you click out of the field with Lar in it) and then click on the two arrows pointing at each other to collapse the field, it should show you “lar” after the Colon.

Correct!

I have a bunch of Perspectives and after a long period I started a new one today, so I was just like a beginner.

Because in order to save this condition, as you write, the user needs to choose to add a new condition (a new filed), with no other purpose than to be able to click into it, in order to get out of the original field, so he can save the original condition from the 2 arrows.

I wonder how the Omni team will respond.

The Omni team don’t routinely use the forums to identify potential ideas or bugs..

If you want to submit a bug report, you need to send it to the support team at Omni. They won’t necessarily pick it up here.

You can go to the Help Menu in the macOS app or on iOS or iPadOS go to the three dots in the top right, hit “Help” and then “Contact Omni"

Now it’s working as it should!

I swear it wasn’t earlier today!

Hey and good day/ evening,

Got same problem again. Now I want to notify the Omni team, but I cannot find a good and free? screen recorder.
(I have iShowU, but they upgraded recently. I need screen recording rarely.)

You can use QuickTime Player. Despite the name, it also has recording capabilities. Specifically, choose File > New Screen Recording, then select what you want to record.

You can also use press ⇧⌘5 and click Recording. Select the portion of the screen you want to record and click Record Video or press ↩.

Hej Tim,
Thanks for your input.

macOS Tahoe 26.4

QuickTime 10.5 (from 2025 QT is obsolete).

I realised now that ENTER helps.
Have been using TAB in fields otherwise - a lot.
