Hi all,
I’m playing with the new Omnifocus Shortcuts in 4.5.1. Is there a way to add a task with a series of sub-tasks without using the old Taskpaper system? I can’t for the life of me work it out…
Thanks!

There isn’t a way to do this with the new Add Action action yet; our primary goal in this update was to make sure we had modernized actions (based on the new App Intents) which had parity with our older actions (based on the older Siri Intents).
We’ll be improving this further in future updates, but I don’t know whether this specific ability is on our radar yet. Please be sure to email omnifocus@omnigroup.com to let our team know this is something you’d like to be able to do!
In the meantime, yes, you can either use the Add TaskPaper action (there’s a modernized App Intents implementation of this), or you could use an Omni Automation Script (which has richer JavaScript API for accessing item locations and relationships).
Thank you for the prompt response. I will carry on using my Taskpaper Shortcuts, but I was hoping for something a little more with the new update. I’m sorry to learn that this isn’t included, and I’m surprised to learn this ability isn’t on the radar at the moment, given how many of your users are so deeply ingrained within the application. But I will certainly make sure to email. Thank you!
