Show only Available actions in Forecast?

I have a Tag that is set to an On Hold status. (It is a ‘Home’ tag, and I am visiting relatives for the holidays).

Actions with that tag appear in the Forecast perspective even though they are not available due to the tag with the On Hold status.

Is there a way to have the Forecast show only available actions?

In this case, I have actions with a defer date the ended before I took my trip. But, I can’t get to those items until after I return home. Hence the on hold tag.

I really don’t want to re-defer scores of actions to make them not show up in Forecast, but they really clutter up the list of tasks I can do while I am away.

Thanks and Happy New Year everyone!

If you can focus on folders or projects which don’t include the tagged items, they shouldn’t show in Forecast.

@Geoffairey’s suggestion is the most elegant, as long as you remember to unfocus when you’re back home.

The Forecast perspective can’t be set to show only Available actions because it’s for planning, and for that purpose, it’s important to know if an action is due soon even if it’s not currently available.

Presumably, your actions are showing up there because they are due soon or you’ve tagged them with a Forecast tag. If they’re due soon, but you can’t do them, you’ll need to renegotiate the due date with the person to whom you owe the task. If they have your Forecast tag, you could remove that and then add it again when you’re able to do them—that would be relatively easy to do if you selected them all and gave them a new temporary tag before removing the Forecast tag, so that you could then select the temporary tag in Tags and re-add the Forecast tag to them.

I just realized that there is an option in Settings > Organization to toggle "In Forecast: Include items from On Hold projects. So you could set the projects themselves to On Hold. That would then require remembering to change their status later.
