Split in multiple days the time assigned to each task

Hi!

Say you have a task that takes 8 hours to complete.

I want to assign 2 hours of work to - for example - 1.st January, 4 hours to the 6 January and 2 hours to the 10 January.

Is it possible?

Here’s how you’d do this in OmniPlan 3 for Mac:

1. Create your task.
2. Select the task, and go to Menu Bar > Structure > Split Task.
3. Enter 2h for the first part of the split, and set the date to schedule the next part of the split. (January 6th falls on a weekend and is considered off-hours, so I’ve used January 5th for this example—but you can modify your work schedule in the Calendar View if you do want to schedule on weekends.)

4. Click Split Task to apply.
5. Select the second part of the split task and repeat the process.

6. Click Split Task to apply the second split.

At the end of this process, your one task will be split into three with the specified hours and scheduling. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the parent task in the Outline to expand the group and view the component parts. I hope this helps!
