Sync authorisation frequency

I am a new trial user of Omni Focus and I find that when I am working in Omni Focus that the frequency that I am asked to authorise Omni Sync is really annoying, it is literally every few seconds. Is there any way that this can be either changed or, perhaps preferably, set that Sync occurs only when I tell it to? Thanks for any help.

You should be able to enter your password once and then sync will happen as needed without ever asking you again. Something has gone wrong.

Please try this:

  1. Quit OmniFocus 2 (and OF1 if you happen to have it)
  2. Open Keychain, find all entries that look like syncN.omnigroup.com (where N is some number) and delete them.
  3. Launch OmniFocus 2
  4. Sync and enter your login info one more time.

“Me too” - I was able to fix the problem as described here. Thanks!

Maybe worth mentioning that Sync had failed several times because I had entered the wrong password or username.
