Sync error „Encrypted file is corrupt“

Since this weekend I can’t get OmniFocus synced on my two Macs, while syncing between both iOS devices seems to work.

On the Macs (and even after logging in via Omni Focus Web) I get the error „ Encrypted file is corrupt“.

  • Macs → both got last week updated to OmniFocus 3.12.2
  • Macs → both got updated one week ago to macOS Monterey (12.0.1)
  • iOS → both devices are on iOS 14.8

I tried „Datenbank neu erstellen“ (something like „Check and rebuild the DB“) and even resetting the DB and settings but to no avail. Still got „ Encrypted file is corrupt“
