I see a difference in the way the tags of the default template project coming with OF3 are displayed compared with tags created by me:

Any idea why the first displays as one tag??

Because Errands is a sub ordinate of Tutorial. E.g.
Tutorial
- Errands
Tag 1 and Tag 2 are root level tags.
It’s because you have two tags in your database with the same name. In this case, the full path is displayed to disambiguate them.

To add to what @MultiDim wrote, if you’re not seeing the duplicate “Errands” tag, switch to the Tags perspective and set the “In Tags, show” setting to “All”. You may have a dropped tag that isn’t normally visible.
