I like the outline heirarchy for planning complex projects and using subtasks with sequential mode. However, there are a few drawbacks that I’m experiencing which don’t make sense to me.
It seems that once a task has a subtask, even if all subtasks are completed and the main task is available, it does not appear in the forecast when marked with the forecast tag, nor does it show up in the tags perspective. Is this correct or am I missing something? Thanks!
yeahhhhh, OF doesn’t really handle tasks with subtasks well at all. Nested tasks apparently present a bunch of problems for the OF devs that they’ve just decided to ignore for the past few years. Once there’s a child under a task, it’s not considered a task any more, it’s considered an action group, and OF treats them in all kinds of weird ways that are very unintuitive.
