Trying Omnifocus 3 on Mac while having Omnifocus 2?

Hi,

Is there a way to try omnifocus 3 without deinstalling omnifocus 2?

Yes. I find the best thing to do is to put both into folder (I put OmniFocus 2 in a folder called "OmniFocus 2), and then updates don’t cause problems.

Note that only the first tag will sync as a context to OF2.
