I just discovered something interesting! If you set the new Search feature to Search Everything, type a character in the Search field to have the view changed to the search view, and then delete the character (to show all tasks) but remain in the search view – there it is: the Inbox together with the projects in a one window solution!

When I posted that, I got flamed by everyone wanting a better solution. I hope this thread is more productive - I love this trick.

Oh, I haven’t seen your post. But if The Omni Group could just let us exclude the ”type a character” part, this is at least what I have been waiting for all the time. No complicated things, simply the Inbox at the top of the Projects list, with the possibility to drag tasks to their projects. To me, this actually looks like a perfect presentation directly for the Projects view – no need for a separate view.

I agree! And that there’s iconography for the Inbox, too, suggests we’re probably almost there…
