What is the difference between these two types of groups?

I made the first one (The Group) manually, and the second hierarchical looking one (Group: Boundary) is a result of importing a DOT file.

The Group is a group.

Group: Boundary is a subgraph, “a special kind of group that can be expanded to show the hierarchy inside it, or collapsed to make it a single compact object.”
