At some point recently, OmniGraffle updated and the canvas side bar looked different. I used to be able to rename a canvas by clicking on the name. Now I can’t. How do I rename a canvas now?

Doh, nevermind. I found it in the canvas inspector on the right hand side of window.
I have the same problem. Where’s the canvas inspector? I don’t have one.

In my original question, I didn’t realize that the canvases section in the left side panel was collapsed. You can click on the line between “Canvases” and “Contents” and drag it open again.

I have been looking for that attribute for weeks! I can’t believe it’s buried inside the sidebar and not in the panel!

That’s what they call “intuitive” these days. What used to be called counter-intuitive.
